I don’t remember a device such as that. I remember having a needle stuck into my arm several times in a little circle. That would have been around 1946 when I started kindergarten.
Yep. However, a device was. Not what was used, sharp needle was used to scratch the skin in the shape of a dime and somehow the vaccine was absorbed by the skin. Weird stuff. It was painful. I remember that part. Glad my kids didn’t go through that procedure.
Nope and I’m 57 years old, I should have a scar, but I got my polio vaccine on a sugar cube. I got my small pox vaccination. But I don’t remember how. I don’t have a scar like everyone else my age.
I do and my husband does. After sixty-some years they have faded. Remember the fuss when the scab fell off? It meant you could enter Kindergarten!

No not on my arm. After 81 years mine is still visible on my upper thigh.
I have a big scar on my leg, I contracted the actual cowboy from it. I was one sick girl!!
Yes I do! Been there for over 72 years as I had to get vaccinated before starting kindergarten.
Well I guess 70 years and a tattoo has faded it lol
I used to have one on my leg.
In my day girls got those on their hiney so not to leave a visible scar.
My has finally faded after 65 years and it’s hard to see now
Mine never took. I had two and neither one did anything.
Yep, still there. When I use to tan, it would still be white.
You bet , and I haven’t had small pox yet. I guess it worked.

Dr. Everhart nurse Evans gave the shots from hell! She left scars everywhere!!
That is how the used to be able to tell if you were an American. No other countries did that vaccine
