Had a Robin nesting in a hollow stump in my back yard and a couple of days after a hail storm with nickel size hail, went to check the nest and found her dead slumped over her eggs, wings out. I buried her and her nest intact. In answer to one of the questions below, several years ago, migrating hummingbirds and orioles were caught crossing the Gulf, caught by a hurricane and washed up dead on the shore. If nothing else, please pray for the birds and animals during storms.
