"This is what me and my daughter have started doing….We are keeping a "Blessing bag" in our car in case we find someone in need. You can make these up with items from the Dollar Tree such as gloves, thermal socks, beef sticks, crackers, candy bars, toothpaste, toothbrush, wipes, deodorant, snacks and other items that may help someone who is homeless or in a bad way. It is just a thoughtful, inspiring thing to do. This is something we are going to start doing from now on. Thank you to the ones that did this long before us, for being such a giving, loving, caring person! Random acts of kindness take very little to change the life of just one person." 👼
What a truly wonderful idea. Had to share! 👍

This is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing hope you don’t mind if I take your idea and Implement myself. Have a blessed Thanksgiving and holiday season
I was at the bank a couple years ago. Very cold out and I did not have a car. I had walked a couple blocks from the bus. Had gloves and cold when I saw an little older lady with the most beautiful scarf on. I had to tell her how her scarf was so pretty. She thanked me and then took it off. Put it around my neck and gave it to me. Said I make these and have a Merry Christmas. I said I can not take your scarf. Please it gives me a pleasure to make someone happy. I never will forget that. People do things for others to give them joy . wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone in the world thought that way.
Wonderful idea! Needs to be more of this going around. Kindness is never the wrong thing to do!
Also try making them out of old purses for the women and supply menstrual products.
Oh wow!! Awesome!
We do the exact same thing, almost the same items, we also put $8 Mcdonald’s gift cards, and granola bars and chapstick additionally. Hand warmers, we live in Alaska 🤗
I can’t wait to see your face when God asks you why you couldn’t help…. shame on you. Everyone has their own story. And you are NOT the author who gets to write their ending. You are but a bump in the road until someone nice comes along to lend a hand. Practice Compassion, Tolerance, Empathy, Understanding. Share Hope, Love and Peace. Pray for these people.
God IS watching you from the corner if His eye….
Nice…pat on the back… now we can say you’re nice.. HAPPY?
They’ll just get the money and get high
This is great to do no one knows people lives they could come from home abuse turn to drugs or lost a job doing a act of kindness to someone who down and out gives hope to showing people care ..never judge someone life we just dont know what brought them to living on the streets..
Our family has done this for years. Thanksgiving night we put together about 50 bags or so! We keep them in our cars to offer to those needing a hand up!! Have had many tender experiences talking with grateful recipients!
Enabling ? What ? Homelessness ? Hunger ? Alone ? Maybe you should go serve at a soup kitchen and see for yourself
Sometimes, people run into hard times unexpectedly. They need help as well and they don’t stand on the streets begging. This post is a great idea and may cheer up someone in need especially over the holidays. May a hardship never happen to you judgemental people that commented hateful things. Enabling?? Bah. Humbug. May karma bite you where the sun doesn’t shine.
I ride an electric cart around my neighborhood and see people on every corner with their signs. Sometimes they have a dog also. I try to have hat’s. and gloves, socks, small bag of dog food, water. Sometimes I’m able to bring them a hamburger or sandwich. It’s gotten cold even in daytime and they are hurting. It doesn’t take much to offer some help.
Great idea, Jane Lee what about the shoebox idea too to get some foods for the elderly and send them out! There was a homeless guy outside Morrison’s yesterday with a beautiful Rottweiler so I got them both some food, he was over the moon and sooo thankful
…young man on subway..large city. Very cold day..clean and well, pressed in denim jacket and pants. When he got off at the station he was better dressed in ear muffs, wooly neck scarf and gloves.
Someone shared with him. That was nice..
U never know when it might b you!!😐❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🌻
Yes a great idea God bless all the homeless and hungry 🙏🙏🙏
THANK YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY
Great idea also I put dry dog food in paper sacks. If I pass by one on the road I try to throw it off to the side if I can’t stop and they can eat because bag busts or they can get into it easy. I will make some bags for the homeless.
Great 👍 idea 💡 I feel so sad 😭 for the homeless they need help !
Sally I understand what you are saying, but I sincerely hope you are never hungry and cold, ask yourself WHAT WOULD JESUS Do You Remember?s
When I get back I will start doing this! ♥️
Why work when others meet you needs I know I will get lots of flack and hate for this but enabling just does not help
In colder climates please include chapstick and hand and foot warming packets. Those little packets stay warm up to 8 hours
You don’t have to give one to everyone you see…just use your intuition or judgment and give to those people. Someone doesn’t have to thank you-you are just giving out of care and love.
My family has done this for years. The people receiving them are always so grateful. 💗
My cousin works the big city downtown night beat. She tells me every day they throw away piles of blessing bags and items given by well meaning people.

No one wants to live like that. Most the time they are sick not lazy

What a wonderful idea, there will be hollow hearted haters, but who cares? They will have to answer for their callousness someday.
Simply inspired by the Holy Spirit….what a wonderful thing to do….I’m going to offer to do this for our parish run to the city….
This is such a beautiful thing to start❤️❤️❤️I am going to do this and pass the idea along to my family and friends❤️❤️ Love y’all so much and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family🦃🦃❤️❤️
I keep small sandwich bags of cat & dog food also. Lotsa of the homeless have only the furry friends to keep them warm….
I love this idea and will have blessing bags in my car❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
My daughter started a tradition…..she gave everyone in the family a blanket to carry in our car! Instead of a useless Christmas present! With a letter explaining to keep it till we see a need!!
I put a bottle of water in the ones I make for church. I showed it to a man that works with the homeless and the only suggestion he made was a flavoring packet for the water. I hadn’t thought of that even though I don’t like plain water.
Don’t Forget A Pint Of WHISKEY….ya know just to keep em warm ….SALLY WELBURN I couldn’t agree more …I work hard for my money Noone else but my Employer give money to me !!
I’m not sorry been homeless and hungry myself never begged on a corner (luckily )
It can be a wonderful idea….although in Flint Michigan….sometimes they will keep the money and throw away the food and possibly the other stuff. In Flint Township it is illegal to give money or food to those who ask for it unless they have a permit ,isn’t that crazy??About all you can do is tell them of agencies that can help I guess.
Thats a brilliant idea Mary so thoughtful xx
I LOVE THIS. I’m doing this💞
