Nice way to lose your balance… the drawer will move in the direction opposite of your center of gravity. It’s safe as long as you are facing the the same position as the demonstrators feet, the minute you lean back the drawer will close with you on it.

Built one years back, had a lasting shoulder injury from the fall. Some type of cross bar must be implemented to latch the drawer in extended position, or else your footing and the safety of whatever you are carrying hinges on a couple free spinning ball bearings.

You wouldn’t want to change a lightbulb standing on a roller chair, so why try with a drawer?

Let me see if I got this right. a 1″ board secured to to light duty drawer rails with a couple of #8 or # 10 screws. Add a 150# person and that won’t lead to disaster? I can see it snapping off or worse, rolling back in before the person gets their 2nd leg up. No thanks.

Get a two step step stool for the higher places. Works great and a top to hold on to.
