This is no joke, the Cape Buffalo is one of the most vicious animals that exist. They have been known when wounded to stock their hunter and frequently have singled him out of a group of people who were with him. They will kill the lion in a heartbeat.
They sure got him buffaloed

When I was in training in 1968 one of my Sargents told me to never shoot a water buffalo with an M-16. Said they would ruin your whole damn day.
