And the mountains behind the castle are beautiful!
I have a Neuschwander family in my church.
I’ve been through this Castle, it’s beautiful, but not as old as most, I love the ones that are battle worn, from the 1200’s
I think I was there and at the entrance, a chubby greeter asked where I was from, I said TEXAS, and his eyes got real big and asked me if John Wayne was my father!!
I think I’ve seen this castle. Heard it inspired Walt Disney to make Cinderelle Castle. Pretty cool, I’d say.
I would love to explore this huge
castle ❤️
The legacy of Mad King Ludwig.
Sandi Lund, Edie McNally Lee, Peggy Vaith Schmitz, we should go here. I lived in Germany for three years and could be the tour guide.
It looks like Disney copies their design.
Beautiful been there when my husband was stationed in Germany.
I can’t imagine would it took to Build this …
Was there in1968 my husband was at Rhine Maine Germany air Force Base, and got to travel to lots of places.
It is prettier on the outside than the inside.
This castle represents excesses from the past when most of the population lived in abject poverty. I guess there is nothing new under the sun.
I have visited this castle three times over the years, it really is a fairytale place.
Believe it or not, it looks better there!!!
What was that in the movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
An amazing experience, been in summer in bloom and in winter covered in snow.
I was there 2 times, once in mid 60’s when x was stationed in Germany, the other time in early 80’s on ski trip to Austria. It’s a gorgeous castle, swan motif inside.
Love this castle… so magical looking!
Got to visit there in the 80’s. Great place
I climbed all 176 steps in that castle in 2010. Now I can’t even walk without a walker. Oh how times can change in a heartbeat!
I lived 5 minutes from a castle when I lived in Germany It was breathtaking.
Need somebody to travel with..lol
My favorite castle ever…
