Would guess it has a foul odor like most cacti. Neat looking. Like all cacti that have showy blooms.

Yes, it is related to the carrion plant & their blooms smell like rotting meat, interesting flower but nasty odor!

I had one of these years ago, and it blomed, and was SO PRETTY.

Looks like something from another planet. I could imagine these growing on mars..all poking up out of the red sand. They would be called The Martian Orchid. 🌸

Wow I had a plant like that but the flower wasn’t that big. I say about 1 inch.

That flower in the center is the female part of the plant. Common to many blooms.

It STINKS! Someone brought one into our shop to sell and we spent the morning looking for a dead rat or something. … it was very pretty but didn’t sell 😵
