Grammas usually do become very creative…we sometimes amaze ourselves!!!! lol!! I even had a camp set up in my 3 season room and slept out there with the grands and had a great time and created precious memories! Didn’t do that with their moms….didn’t have the time to add in a lot of creativity back then 😏 But I learned fun is now more important wirh kids…you must make the time somehow…or go to grandma’s!!! 😍
TO EVERYONE SAYING THEY ARE GOING TO TRY THIS: Those are baby wearing wraps that are made from a very thick woven material and SAFETY TESTED to hold heavy weights. This isn’t something you could do with a blanket or sheet and get a tight enough knot and regular sewing fabric from around the house or curtains would not be strong enough to hold kids that old. You can see the brand label for the front one right next to the knot. These fabrics are strong and marketed to tie and hold this kind of weight.
When the grandkids were young and I babysat a lot, unused to make tents with sheets secured to dining room chairs with rubber bands…the kids loved to eat lunch in them–was such fun!
This “safety-conscious” Grandma would probably put a strip of wide clear packaging tape across both ends of the table, tho’, so the fabric wouldn’t slip off a side of the table!
Umm, that isn’t a “grandma idea” these are woven wrap baby carriers. This is a common way Moms break them in so they are easier to tie. -sincerly a Babywearing Educator
I made a “table tent” for my great grands, and my brothers grands. They love them!

Wow way to go Grandma. I have a young Great Grandson. Hope I can introduce him to these table hammocks. Every child must love them.
A great idea! The kids will love it.
Love it. We used to hang a blanket over a table to make a tent. Fun memories

I hope she is very good at tying knots. My grandkids would be on the floor within five minutes!
If I get any great grand babies I’ll have to try this with my high table it would work well!!👀💕😇
Made tents under the table and granny would give me her old jewelry to play with. I also did the same with my grandchildren they loved it. 🤩
Love this idea. I do think it was inspired by intense need for quiet time🤔
Cute, I have made many tents using the same thing, but the hammock is way better!!
Sweet idea. Reminds me of table tents. Have fun.
What a fun idea for the kids, gramma!!☺
I love it. I bet that made the kids feel so special
Great idea for all the fabric I will never make into garments!
Kids love hanging out under tables. It’s like having a fort
Love this idea. We only made tents!
I have a table about that size. I’m going to try this for my daycare babes. Is this a sheet or a curtain??
Wonder if my tables would hold me!!? 😜

We used to wrap them around chairs and make a tent. Good times❤
How very cute. Made tents under the table but never a swing.
That would be great for cats too. 🐱
Grandmas do great things.
Even if they fall, it’s only a couple of inches off the ground.
