YES! Did this last summer…AMAZING trip! This pic is unfairly angled making the steps appear much steeper, it was a lot of steps but all very manageable, and oh! What a view!
Harry Wallace Dalton Calvert someone pls tell me how Hayden Smith went to Machu Picchu without us knowing?
We also the Inca Trail, four day trek to Machu Picchu. Lots of ruins, aqueducts, huge wild orchids in the jungle.
Nope I already fell to my Death in this picture 😬
Christyn Fertenbaugh – I’m sure I couldn’t as this looks pretty high and I’m afraid of heights (well – not afraid of heights really, afraid of falling from heights).
Been there. Done that. No railings and steps are all different heights but so awesome to visit!!!
Maybe, if it is alloud to sit down on my butt and slide down one step at the time 😂
Wow that is stunning landscape. I’m not sure I could do it…but one things for sure…I’m 6’4 240 so you better make sure I’m not behind you.
I think the picture is on the wrong angle to make the steps look steeper. The building is on its side practically. We walked all over Machu Picchu and I don’t remember steps like this.
We walked down those steps and they were not as steep as portrayed in this photo.
Yes I did, hiked up sister peak. Sketchy hike, but at top of yainu picchu looked down on the Urarbamba river, where the Incas sacrificed virgins, fortunately I was safe!
I’d have to go down on my butt just like I did at Chichenitza!
That would be a nope. That’s a death sentence for a klutz like me. I trip on air lol
That photo is Photoshopped (made steeper and tipped on its side) to look way scarier. Here’s an official photo of “The stairs of death” from the agency that sells tickets there.
never pass up an opportunity to visit Machu Pichu – First to Lima, then to Cuzco and then the train to Machu Pichu – a real history lesson from beginning to end.
These stairs don’t meet code
My Granddaughter has done this!!!!
Not carrying my passed out wifie.
Been there. Done that! It was awesome.
Yes..celebrated my 65th birthday hiking Machu Picchu!
The picture even makes me dizzy!
Machu Picchu just moved to the bottom of my bucket list.
My knees are already knocking …
…where in hell is OSHA, when yo need them..
Did this on our honeymoon! Breezed right up enjoying the view then omg fear just took over when we tried to climb down. Plus it didn’t help that an ambulance with lights and sirens blaring just arrived. I thought omg I am never getting down! Lol we managed to come down on our butts very scary!
I wouldn’t be able to get up them let alone getting back down. No heights for me.
That’s one off the bucket list now!!
No, I hate heights except when I meet my maker.
What if the one at the back slips and takes them all out !
Been there, done that. Beautiful 4 day trek
Wow, oh wow!! As much as I’d love to…no thanks!!
Done it and it was horrible. We were given no warning that it would be like it.
I would but I would not be in front of ANYBODY trust issues
Yes but not up nor down Juana Picchu. Its too steep and I am not a goat anymore. Machu Picchu is a huge place with many stairs but I managed but admired those 400 per day who could climb Juana Picchu next door. The photos from the top are beautiful and give perspective to how large and how much of Machu Picchu is still not undercovered.
Always wanted to go to Machu Picchu Now
It’ll be fine without me😱
