I remember going to St Teresa’s nursery with nun’s who frightened me to death. They made us sleep on fold up campbeds with itchy grey blankets, i will never forget it until the day i die.
I hated it. Had to take a nap at the babysitters and at school then couldn’t sleep at night. I think this caused sleeping problems for me for years. Never could sleep at night.
Had Miss Boyle for kindergarten at Upland Elementary in 1955. Spent most of the time in the thinking chair with my head down . Couldn’t stand that woman. Secound worst teacher I ever had.
I don’t because I never went to kinder garden, I started school at age five in the first grade, and it was boring, i knew how to read since I was four, and writing on that yellow paper with the wide lines seemed dull and a nap was wanted, but recess occurred.
We had our straw mats stored in a huge box, napped up to 6th grade. Hated it, couldn’t wait until I got to 7th grade, no napping, but you know what — wished for nap time.
