Yes, But has to be calves liver. Soak it in milk first to get the nastiness out of it Drain out the milk, and dust with flour. Fry with the onions. I love mine with lots of black pepper.
Like NO! It’s organ meat, think about what the liver does. It cleans the body of all kinds of bad stuff !! There is no way I’m eating that, not kidneys either, yuck, yuck, yuck 🤮
Yuck! I am pushing 76 and haven’t touched that horrible stuff since my Mom tried to ffed it to me when I was about 5! I immediately threw up! Never again!
Yes for sure but only if I can get them from one place and one place only. I’ve been challenged before on that place and the others don’t even come close. I’ll bet my last dollar that people that say they don’t like Liver and Onions would like these if they had them. I’ve tried to cook them myself and had to throw them out… Now thinking about it I realize I haven’t gone in a while because the restaurant is 50 miles away. I guess it’s time for a trip. May very well be the best Liver and Onions on the planet !!!!
I’ve said it before, eating liver is like eating the dirty “oil filter” off a car. The liver filters all the toxins in the blood with a “catch and hold” operation, thus not an appealing option to me. Different of course if you’re starving, other than that, nope!
When I was a kid I hated liver and onions. It wasn’t until 7 years ago that I had liver and onions properly prepped and cooked by Chef Doreen, she also makes a pate that is to die for.
U guys r funny. Worked at a place that made beef heart. Also beef tongue. Boil the heck out of it skin it & slice like rst. Beef. Put bar b wue sauce on & eat on bun.
When I was a youngster maybe about 5 or 6 I had to eat liver once a week ! due to being sick it help build my blood up ! Well I still like it ! but only eat it once a year with lots of onions , gravy, mashed potatoes, might have to be my once a year tonight LOL !
Yes, my mom soaked it first it cold water with salt, then in milk, then dusted with flour, salt and pepper, fried till tender. Lots of onion, mashed potatoes, peas, salt and pepper, and YES…it had to be CALVES LIVER SLICED THIN. Was so delicious!
Projectile vomit, anything that disgusting and that requires mega amounts of onions and gravy to drown out the flavor should not be eaten, organ meat is horrible for you
Oh, absolutely yes. The shame of it all is I can’t find any place that can make it like my mom use to make it. And some places don’t even serve it any more.
Need to be prepared right first, pour boliing water on it that washes the animal taste off it ,roll in flour, dont over cook, make gravy to cover it and my mashed potatoes
Not anymore! When I was a kid I loved it and needed it for the iron, but then I learned the function of the liver is to filter toxins from the body, so no never again!
Also great with the milk and then turn around and the last one for a little bit of salt in the water and soak it again for a while but when you put the flower on it put a little bit of Parmesan cheese
Hell no can’t stand the touch up stuff and can’t stand the smell of it my mom used to cook for my dad but since I’ve been a teenager and got married never been in my house again
Love it as long as somebody doesn’t overcook it dried out liver is the worst cook nice soft easy with lots of onions and butter

My mother use to fix the best when I was a whole lot younger. Don’t trust the quality of today’s beef.

My absolute favorite! When I used to make tacos for the family, I always made myself pan fried liver (on the rare side) & onions!
My mother would cook it
Perfectly with some bacon. She would sauté The onions in butter then add to the liver. Served with Mashed potatoes and a green.
Need to be prepared right first, pour boliing water on it that washes the animal taste off it ,roll in flour, dont over cook, make gravy to cover it and my mashed potatoes
No, sorry. Never developed a raste for it. Not on any menu my mother fixed, growing up. Mainly, my father didn’t like it, so we didn’t have it!
Not anymore! When I was a kid I loved it and needed it for the iron, but then I learned the function of the liver is to filter toxins from the body, so no never again!
I always loved the smell of liver &a onions cooking, but I could never eat liver–something about the texture and pungent taste of it.
Used to have a group of we liver lovers fix this once a year.. Danville Indiana.. ‘twas fun and delicious, yearn for those olden days!!
Also great with the milk and then turn around and the last one for a little bit of salt in the water and soak it again for a while but when you put the flower on it put a little bit of Parmesan cheese
only when my mother made it years ago I’ve never made it myself she made up with bacon made it taste better but it’s still liver! It’s liver!!
Worst dinner my mother ever made, the last time I was forced to eat it by Robert Whitcomb, was when I threw up all over the dinner table.
Hell no can’t stand the touch up stuff and can’t stand the smell of it my mom used to cook for my dad but since I’ve been a teenager and got married never been in my house again
It’s the only meal in thirty four years of marriage that my husband asked me to never cook again. I never did….
The liver cleans out all the crap and toxins out of the blood. And one wonders why cancer is killing so many humans.
I grew up on that didn’t like it too much but they said it was good for my blood I guess Mom and Dad know best
Must have bacon and fried in bacon grease. Have only occasionally due to the high cholesterol. So good!!!
Eating liver and onion, with a piece of cornbread is about the most fun you can have with your cloths on.
I told my mother when I was a child that when I grew up I would never eat liver and onions again and I haven’t!! Lol
Love to eat, but since chemo can’t stand the smell when cooking. So don’t have very often, haven’t found a good restaurant that serves it.
Only if my mother made it with bacon also
Yes. Providing its calves liver thinly sliced.
Gross it stinks up the house and taste bad. I had to eat this as punishment as a kid.
Love it with mash potatoes..
Awesome I love it you have to cook it just right but it’s awesome you really good
Yes with bacon and onions!
I love liver and onions eat it quite often. I only eat calf liver.
Where is the best place to get liver and onions at
Once a week, and mashed potato s
Calf liver med.rare with rare onions and crispy bacon 😀😀😀
Superb. Coupled with a chilled bottle of beer to wash it down
Oh yes with fried taters and Lima beans
Yes Grandma Ruth said necessary at least once a week. Confession a time or two it disappeared into my dungaree pockets.
Now the milennials and snowflakes should ban this. Yuck LMAO.
Loved it once in while but not a studied meal of it every day
But, only the way my Mom cooked!
Fixed them last evening for dinner, for my husband.
Only if it’s not over cooked, Yummy!
