If you want to turn left you push the left pedal,
if you want to turn right you push the right pedal,
to go straight ahead push the one in the center,
the little biddy one is for reverse,
to stop the car just take your foot out.
Oh, the bar on the right is for the ejection seat.
Everything you needed to drive a standard automobile an early model I remember when we used to have but I put her hand straight out to the left turn lap and to put it up to the right turn right there was no such thing as blinkers
This set up should also have a hanging turn signal switch on the column, a key switch in the dash, cable choke and a emergency brake hand lever through the floor just right of the shifter…the Chevy from the 50s were like that anyway
From left to right dimmer switch clutch brake gas pull choke for starting like on a dam lawnmower and last but not least the long sloppy wobbly grind em till you find em shifter it’s like so many people just dont get out at all
The left pedal is for clutch, next to it is for brakes, and then the gas pedal. That doo jigger on the upper right I believe is a dimmer switch and the one on the far right I don’t know, probably for emergency brake.
From left to right. Headlight dimmer switch, next clutch pedal, next brake pedal, next gas pedal, and last the starter button. The long rod on the right is the gear shift lever.
That is the pedal arrangement on a truck. The positive engagement started was used into the late ’50s on 6 cylinder trucks. The push pad is the clue. Passenger cars used a rubber pad, trucks the steel pad shown.
Europeans still drive with these pedals and don’t want to give it up. You can drive directer, faster and with more sportivité. Like me and my husband in our car we love it.
Jack, I’m not old enough to know what the button to the right of the accelerator is (this is a LHD vehicle). Do you know what the button to the left of the clutch is?

Looks exactly like the floorboard in the vehicles I learned to drive in. Was a trick to use the pedals it took to use the starter button.
Those old style “through the floor ” brake & clutch pedals were much more comfortable to operate than the modern hanging pedals .
Yes, from the right, starter switch, gas pedal, brake, clutch and final was dimmer switch for headlights.
