I have seen many of these in Maine, you have to be alert if your in an area where they are as they don’t move for you and that is over 1,000 lbs and many people have died or gotten really injured, you learn one thing watch the ditches drive slow in those areas…
No wonder my son said he has to watch when driving to work that one may come out to cross the road. but they are beautiful to see.
OMG! That’s huge! No wonder people are afraid of encounters with them. I’ve heard they will charge at you.
Reason #1 to be awake and aware when enjoying the wild outdoors on your ATV’s and bikes, pedaled or powered! He may be around the next corner!

I wasn’t paying attention in a camp ground one time and scared myself and a Syrus moose half to death by walking right into the side of its hiney. They are huge! I couldn’t even see over back.
