Good grief. Do we have to be negative about everything? Kids need to know that anything they write on FB can go everywhere, and most don’t. This is a teachable moment, not a subject for debate!
Just ignore ignorance..thanks for using innovative ideas and activities to capture your students’ attention…I am a retired Special Education teacher and applaud your efforts…
Highland Indiana! I believe it is a good idea to show these children what you put out social media is seen all over the world. Because God only knows that they do not learn these things at home!
This is what is wrong with the teacher of this country, instead teaching facebook they should teach the constitution, this COUNTRY history math geography ect, and the want more money every year. I think that every teacher should take a yearly test see if tgey are qualify to be a teacher

Here’s some life advice I taught my kids:
1)R.E.A.D!!
2)Tolerance begins with other’s ideas and different opinions..even when you disagree strongly!
3)Crude language makes you look ignorant.
4) kindness is always in fashion.
5) take a pause before you respond..longer if you’re upset.
6) you don’t decide your circumstances in life, but you DO decide how you respond to those circumstances…you determine who you will be…that moment and with each choice you make.
7) Don’t squash another man’s hope! Offer them something better if you’ve got it ..listen to their hope if you need some.
8 ) weigh what you’re exposing yourself + your family to by asking what redeeming value does it give or add to your life…if none, walk away, turn off etc.
9) Consider God. Find out about Jesus…even if it’s not popular. Ask God questions…
10)Enjoy your life!
Books wonderful. They are an amazing learning tool. But FB is the best way to teach a child how fast negative words and info travel. Btw. I’m a 73 yr. old double amputee who is a divorced parent, taught school before FB, worked all my life, loves people and voted for President Trump … I’m no snowflake. Just sayin’.
It’s great that you’re showing your students how fast their words (good or bad) travel through cyber space. So make sure you really want to send it before you hit the send key because words are like bullets…once 6ou send them, you can’t take them back.
Lawrenceburg, Indiana Now let your class use a map information or maybe make a graph on how many people from each state. Use your information as many ways as you can.
Negativity is not acceptable. Your teaching may be the only knowledge of good and bad these young ones get. Continue what you are doing and god bless you. Greetings from Vidor, Texas. This is a small community in Orange County, Texas. Twelve miles from the Louisiana border.
Melbourne Australia: was the best country in the world but things are starting to get a bit shakey now with our politicians becoming slightly unstable! They’re constantly squabbling and fighting among themselves which undermines what they’re really there for and that is to take care of the people! They’re paid well and yes should be as it’s not an easy job by any means, but they should be showing results with so many things needing to be done in the country. Health care & aged care in particular need to be seriously overhauled. Aged care is becoming dreadfully neglected with staff shortages meaning residents are paying the price in the long run with bathrooms(cleaning number one )being neglected in particular as well as bath rooming procedures being rushed and/ or missed altogether. This is simply because government won’t provide extra funding for aged care facilities. I think that’s enough for now but that’s just a glimpse from another country through FB. I think it’s a great way for youngsters to learn about other countries! Keep it up teachers there in the US. 😘🎈😘

Las Vegas,Nv.The weather in the Summer can get up to 120 degrees and Snow in the Winter with temperature below freezing. Snow won’t stay on the ground for long. The Winds can get up to 80 mph. With monsoons off and on through April- Aug. Which brings humidity and that makes it hot and sticky. This Summer has been the worse for humity. They say it’s a dry heat because we usually don’t have a lot of humity so it feels like when you open the oven door.
