THEY ARE NOT A BREED THATS FOR MOST PEOPLE! SOME GET PUT INTO RESCUE PLACES BACAUSE THEY ARE MORE LIKE A WOLF THAN A DOG. THEN THEY LIVE OUT THEIR LIVES IN THAT SETTING.

Cannot be licensed in a state that requires rabies vaccination becausee there is NO vaccene that works with wolf rabies.Any time they bite, they must be destroyed.

I had a friend that had a 3/4 wolf. Great dog. All white. Her name was Snowflake (should have been avalanche) dug a hole to get under the house to have her pups. Yes all the way under the foundation and into the crawl space for a den. She had 13 all white pups.
By the way, she was a gentle giant.

I can see that hybrid ripping the smirk right off of her.

This dog is a hybrid between a wolf and a domestic dog. Due to this, keeping them can be slightly more dangerous than keeping your average dog. They also can be a bit harder to come by when looking for a breeder to purchase one from. The physical characteristics can also be a little unpredictable due to the complicated process of mating dogs with feral wolves. Even when the wolf is not completely feral, there currently is no completely domesticated wolf to breed from. That being said, these dogs have a pack mentality and can be extremely loyal.

I vaguely remember ours was only 3-4. Dad said he was so loyal he would put his life on the line. And he never barked at anyone. He just took a silent guard and boy was he quick.

I have a feeling that breed is extremely dedicated to it’s owner – like the Dobie.

He is beautiful… ppl you mention pits you must remember it is in the training and the way the owner treats the dog! We’ve had 2 pits who were/are the most gentle dogs. My other dogs would bite you before my pits!!! Be kind to animals they deserve love and respect! Dogs, any dog is mean when teased and treated mean…

I have had the pleasure of having 3 of these dogs. Not one complaint. Awesome in every way.

A wolf hybrid is no more dangerous than a Pit Bull or Presa Canerio. Yes you would have the same responsibility , but wolves are social caring creatures.

Our boy Jake lived to 16 -1/2 yrs. He was so very sweet & never showed any type of aggression
