This is very comforting, its sad seeing how more and more people grow a lack of interest and stop paying attention to 2D and how some people view 3D as a replacement of 2D animation. It warms my soul that there’s still movies being produced with this amazing and groundbreaking style.
Now that you have Netflix, You must watch "Loving Vincent" 65.000 oil master pieces to create a 1h 34 minutes film, it’s beautiful
I really respect 2d animators, you guys do something incredible
Klaus is the best film i’ve ever seen
2d animation warms hearts of many people and mine as well
Thank you for saying this, it’s always nice to hear some positive reaffirmation that hand-drawn animation still has a place. I’m looking forward to seeing what future stories will be told in this medium, because if “Klaus” and the animated features still being made in Europe and Asia are any indication we still have a lot of great things on the horizon.
Word is born!
Thank you for your words of encouragement <33
Wish I could meet this man, one day. Everything he says is full of wisdom!
We need more 2D traditional animation nowdays.
Well said!
its not about 3d or 2d its all about the quality that the work endorse, these day 3d moves up becouse its cheap
2d rules…
Thanks for the words of encouragement! I really hope to get into an animation school someday so I can make my own animated series in the future.
Thank you
Spa studios should create a 2d animation training thingy!!! Like how it was during 80′ or 90’s and walt Disney studio trained artists to be 2d animators
As I look animation, 80years old 2D animated films still looks great, hand drawn animation never gets old.
while 3D animation feels old time to time. even modern high rendered 3D animation will look outdated.
I’m more concerned about how tight the industry is, or seems. Its my dream to work for disney or better yet, working on Klaus 2 would be an even better dream, but breaking into the industry seems incredibly scary and daunting.
Klaus is maybe my favorite movie at the moment. The story is good, even tho "liar gets caught" -part keeps annoying me in every movie nowdays, but characters are good and interesting, story is warming (even if I have seen similar santa claus movies here in Finland many times already), all the lighting and enviroments and chsracter motions and movements… Everything work. They make me feel.
But I have to admit: if this was pure cgi animation, it wouldn’t do as much for me as it currently does.
My fiance is already tired of how much I keep talking of how I wish EVERY movie was done like this on the future. 😃
Can’t wait to see what the SPA studio will create next.
Awesome!
The 80th anniversary of Dumbo is coming up this year, and I want the cancelled sequel to it, Dumbo 2, to be revived with 2d animation. There is a petition on change.org about it, and I want more signatures on it to change Disney’s minds! Please support!
All dislikes are 3d animators…
… Oh there are no dislikes…
Its Klaus, everybody likes klaus
James Baxter, the living legend of animation.
OMG I’M SO HAPPY THANK YOU SO SO LUCH
